Toronto Cultural Hotspot — Little Jamaica
Map design created for the City of Toronto's Cultural Hotspot initiative, spotlighting the vibrant Eglinton Avenue West neighborhood, fondly referred to as Little Jamaica.
The Cultural Hotspot initiative aims to celebrate the diverse communities that define Toronto beyond its downtown core, inviting both residents and visitors to explore the city's rich cultural tapestry.
Taking cues from the local music scene, notably reggae, and the vibrant colours found in the neighborhood's cuisine, the map design embodies the essence of Little Jamaica. This approach ensures a visually cohesive campaign that resonates with the local community.
In addition to the map, banners and web elements were developed to promote the Cultural Hotspot initiative. These materials are intended to engage individuals and encourage them to partake in the unique cultural experiences offered by Little Jamaica and other neighborhoods throughout Toronto.
